Your Capstone committee has two primary responsibilities. One is to ensure that your Capstone meets academic and scholarly standards as defined by University and the academic field. The other is to mentor you throughout the Capstone process. Those who serve on your dissertation committee can provide valuable insight into how to structure and perform your CAPSTONE research. Thus, it is important to understand their roles and responsibilities.
The Assignment (1 page):
- Provide a description of the role of the Capstone Chair, committee member and URR. Explain the role of the content expert and the research methods expert.
- Explain the ways that you could communicate with your Capstone Chair, including through the Capstone course and other methods you might find beneficial. What are your preferred methods of communication and why? How will your preferred communication methods assist you in progressing toward successful achievement of your Capstone goals?
